Law & Order: Criminal Intent 30 Lee Tergesen plays Josh Lemle, a journalist who learns he has been poisoned by Polonium-210. Upon learning his diagnosis -- and death sentence -- Lemle rushes to tell his old friend Detective Mike Logan (Chris Noth) about the poisoning. Lemle is convinced it traces back to a story he's working on, but all leads turn up clean. The detectives learn that there may have been a case of mistaken poisoning. Logan pledges to help the dying Lemle get to the bottom of his murder, which is just a matter of time. The story is of the "ripped from the headlines" variety, related to the news of a former Russian spy, Alexander Litvinenko, who was fatally poisoned by the same radioactive substance -- Polonium-210 -- at his home and at a London restaurant and hotel.
